Job summary

AT&T is seeking a Machine Operator in Cleveland, Tennessee, for field installation and maintenance of buried service wires and utilities. You will operate trenching equipment, perform repairs, and coordinate with customers and utilities, while adhering to safety guidelines.

The role requires outdoor work in all weather, the ability to lift up to 120 pounds, and a valid DOT medical card or eligibility to obtain one. Weekly hours are 40 with potential overtime and regional travel if needed.

Qualifications

• Desire to work Monday through Friday with an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime and holidays as service conditions require.
• Willingness to work outside in all kinds of weather.
• Able to operate various machines and tools.
• Lift and move objects up to 120 pounds.
• Maintain DOT medical card and drive as required.

Responsibilities

• Locate buried facilities near route of service wires using appropriate equipment.
• Operate a company vehicle with trailer and machinery.
• Perform manual excavation with a shovel.
• Provide repairs to low voltage buried utilities and sprinkler systems.
• Conduct periodic maintenance and non-complex repairs on equipment.
• Follow safety practices and manufacturer specs for equipment.
