Job summary

AIPEX Defense seeks an engineer to build and maintain the field-facing application layer and its CI/CD pipeline for a prototype AI system used by U.S. law enforcement and customs. You will own test coverage targets and a security-scanning pipeline, aligning with the company's Software Producer Attestation practices.

Collaboration with an AI/ML engineer will be essential throughout development. Responsibilities include supporting internal testing and simulated field testing, driving traceability

Qualifications

• Experience building and testing a field-facing application, including CI/CD pipeline ownership.
• Comfortable standing up a security-scanning pipeline (SAST/DAST/SCA) and driving toward a test-coverage target.
• Able to work independently on a small, distributed team and communicate progress clearly without daily in-person supervision.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the field-facing application layer and CI/CD pipeline.
• Own the test-coverage target and the security-scanning pipeline end to end.
• Support internal testing and simulated field testing deliverables (Month 7/Month 8).
• Collaborate with the AI/ML Engineer to integrate the retrieval pipeline into a usable application.
