Salas O’Brien is seeking a Junior Facility Condition Assessor for hybrid or remote work, based around Merritt Island, FL. You will assist with FCA/PCA, collect data, and support cost estimates while traveling as needed across the US.

This role reports to a Senior Assessor or Project Manager and involves field surveys and documentation. The position requires a four-year degree in an engineering discipline or related field, US citizenship for clearance, and willingness to travel up to 50% to

Qualifications

• Enrollment in, or completion of, a four-year degree in an engineering discipline, facility management, or comparable field of study.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain NACLC clearance from DoD.
• Valid driver’s license and U.S. passport (preferred).
• Ability to travel up to 50% of time to project sites.
• Ability to understand building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structure) and read drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams and Access.

Responsibilities

• Participate in facility condition assessments and assist Senior Assessors across various building types.
• Conduct field inspections, document deficiencies, and collect asset information.
• Enter observations into software tools and generate rough order of magnitude cost estimates.
• Support reporting, quality control, and project documentation.
• Travel to project sites and collaborate with engineers and project managers.
