Field Facilities Technician – Remote Alaska Travel

Job summary

NMS is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform a wide range of building repairs, maintenance, and preventive tasks across ACS facilities in Fairbanks and remote Alaska sites.

You will work with multiple trades to fix HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues, perform painting, repairs of walls, doors, and hardware, and assist with snow removal and site safety. Travel up to 50% and ability to lead on site when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of directly related facilities/building maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair buildings, structures, and facilities across sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, generators, and related assets.
• Repair interior/exterior walls, doors, furniture, and hardware; paint as needed.
• Support multiple trades and assist with security and site access.
• Travel up to 50% within Alaska to remote sites and provide on-site supervision when required.
