HDR is seeking a Facilities Construction Inspector II to join our Federal Business Group in Columbus, OH. The role involves inspecting electrical, mechanical/HVAC and site civil work, reading drawings, documenting progress, and collaborating with project managers to ensure quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of construction inspection experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; 3 years minimum construction inspection experience
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; identify discrepancies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Sponsorship (visa) for US employment is not available

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate familiarity with construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities
• Conduct inspection of electrical, mechanical/HVAC and site civil
• Collaborate with Project Managers and other field representatives
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; identify discrepancies
• Document observations of construction as it progresses
• Provide guidance to less-experienced field staff as needed
• Perform other duties as needed
