Job summary

1 Tom Plumber is seeking an experienced Field Excavation Supervisor to lead on-site excavation crews, coordinating daily activities, equipment operation, and safety compliance to meet project timelines and budgets.

You will oversee sales processes, supervise crews, coordinate with managers and subcontractors, and ensure quality control and documentation across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3+ years of direct Excavation Foreman, Site Supervisor, or Crew Lead experience.
• Proficiency in safely operating and supervising heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, dozers, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and grading plans accurately.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Sales: Manage the sales process from start to end for home and business owners.
• Crew Leadership: Direct and supervise excavation crews, assigning daily tasks and monitoring productivity.
• Site Management: Coordinate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors for seamless daily site operations.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety regulations, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure proper use of trench shoring and heavy equipment.
• Quality Control: Interpret plans and project specs to ensure mass grading and utilities are executed correctly.
• Project Documentation: Track daily progress, labor hours, and materials used.
