UL Solutions is seeking a Field Engineer to join our Product Safety Field Evaluation Team. You will independently manage engineering projects, develop UL requirements, test methods, and test equipment for complex products, with minimal supervision.

The role supports remote work and requires travel to sites as needed. Candidates should hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree, have extensive NEC/building code knowledge, experience with electrical testing, and strong communication skills.

Formación

• Engineering/technology degree from an accredited university.
• Strong knowledge of Building Codes, NEC, field evaluations, conformity standards.
• Ability to apply project-handling concepts to complex or new products in the field.
• Experience with Electrical Test Equipment and conducting electrical tests.

Responsabilidades

• Independently manage execution and timely completion of engineering projects with minimal supervision.
• Develop UL requirements, test methods, and test equipment for complex or new products.
• Read and interpret codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for field evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Field Evaluation Team and travel as required.

If you have:

• An engineering/technology degree from an accredited university
• Expert knowledge of Building Codes, NEC, Field evaluations, conformity standards and the NEC
• Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts in use in areas of expertise, including application to complex, new, or modified products in the field
• Experienced with the utilization of Electrical Test Equipment. Experienced with conducting electrical tests on products.
• A working knowledge of industry issues, needs, and problems
• Eight years of directly related experience

Candidate needs to be located close to airport due to high travel requirements.

What we offer:

• Total Rewards : We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $97,000 to $120,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including personal days (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
