Job summary

Spire Building Solutions, LLC in Boca Raton, FL seeks an Estimator for building envelope restoration and concrete repair. This field-grounded role converts scope into a priced, defensible estimate and submitted proposal, including takeoffs, field verifications, productivity bases, vendor pricing, and RFI handling.

You will report to the Chief Estimator and oversee the Estimating Assistant, with travel across Southeast Florida and a full-time exempt schedule.

Qualifications

• Five years minimum estimating multi-story building envelope restoration and repair.
• Reads and interprets architectural plans, structural drawings, details, and specs to identify scope and contractor responsibilities.
• Assesses existing conditions and prescribes appropriate building envelope repair means and methods.
• Knowledge of restoration products, materials, sequencing, and compatibility considerations.
• Authors RFIs, assumptions, exclusions, and scope narratives that hold up commercially after award.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobsites for surveys.

Responsibilities

• Bid package analysis: confirm completeness and interpret scope to build RFIs and assumptions.
• Estimate architecture: frame estimates in Sage around approved means and methods.
• Takeoff and field verification: walk sites and document conditions; use digital takeoffs as supplement.
• Assess constraints and productivity baselines to set realistic production rates.
• Pricing, vendor solicitation, and risk allocation with clear scoping.
• RFI and addenda control in Procore; incorporate changes before submission.
• Present the estimate and basis to Chief Estimator and hand off documented basis.
