Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an Environmental Safety & Health Specialist to implement and ensure compliance with ES&H programs on a long-term project in Fairbanks Township, IN. The position reports to the Field ES&H Lead and requires practical field application of safety and health disciplines.

You will help develop and maintain programs, analyze ES&H data, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate investigations while supporting training and emergency preparedness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2-5 years of related ES&H experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform data analysis and report writing.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Provide ES&H program support to facilitate Bechtel's ES&H standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain programs, systems, and procedures for safety and environmental protection.
• Maintain ES&H databases including incident events and corrective actions.
• Perform statistical analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Lead risk assessments, mitigation planning, and monitoring of ES&H issues.
• Prepare communications, reports, and records for program execution.
• Assist with incident notifications, investigations and reporting.
