Position: Field Equipment Technician II

For World Fuel Services, you will handle mechanical and electronic installation, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of fuel tanks and computer electronics used in supplying and managing petroleum products, as well as maintaining onboard truck computer equipment for the World Kinect fleet of delivery trucks.

Principal Responsibilities
  1. Follow directions from the Supervisor, Field Equipment Technician.
  2. Assess equipment to diagnose and repair issues accurately.
  3. Communicate with clients to determine their equipment needs and report defects or problems.
  4. Maintain accurate logs of all work performed.
  5. Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  6. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  7. Set up monitors for fuel usage on above-ground tanks and gas stations.
  8. Install pumps and monitoring systems on tanks up to 30,000 gallons.
  9. Install and repair GPS and PDI equipment for the company truck fleet.
  10. Manage inventory of office and truck equipment.
  11. Install software, run Cat5 cable/network setups, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment.
  12. Coordinate with vendors to ensure monitors meet guidelines for proper fuel measurement and usage.
  13. Coordinate site work with vendors when sites are outside of regular commuting areas.
Travel Requirements
  1. Travel within the East Coast Region, with occasional trips to Central Regions.
  2. High travel frequency required.
Educational Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Trade school training in electronic systems preferred.
Work Experience
  1. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical and/or electronic technical support and service.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
  1. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  2. Experience with Tank Wagon Meters and Pumping Systems.
