Job summary

Linder Industrial Machinery Company in South Carolina is seeking a skilled Service Technician to repair construction machines and component assemblies in shop and field settings. You will diagnose issues, order parts, write technical reports, and support warranty activities while keeping assets safe and well-maintained.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, selecting parts and tools, performing safe repairs, documenting daily service reports, and communicating progress with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Development of a repair plan andsequence
• Determining necessary parts, materials, tooling,etc.
• Performing repairs properly and safely, with proper quality assurance testing of repair component or system andmachine
• Maintains and completes all necessary reports legibly and in a timely fashion for parts ordering, special tooling usage, daily service reports, and work order closure
• Communicates progress of repair with direct supervisor asrequired
• Retrieves and returns parts and/or materials through Company's parts orderingsystem
• Retrieves and returns special tools through Company's Tool Room. Maintains proper care and use of special tools including major shop equipment, such as but not limited to, air compressor, cleaning tanks, overhead and jib cranes,etc.
• Uses Company vehicle, service truck, and fuel cardsproperly
• Maintains work area and/or service vehicle in a safe and cleanmanner
• Maintains tools and tool carrier in a safe, productive and updatedmanner
• Follows all company policies andprocedures
• Observes all safetyguidelines
• Performs other tasks as requested bymanager
