Field Equipment Service Technician - Temporary

Position Overview

This position is for a temporary period due to an employee's leave of absence, with the possibility of continued employment if the employee does not return.

At Farmer Brothers, our Revive Service & Restoration team specializes in coffee and tea beverage equipment installations, maintenance, and emergency services. As a Field Equipment Service Technician, you will provide exceptional service and installation of coffee brewing equipment in San Diego, CA, supporting Palm Springs, CA, including managing parts inventory, service call documentation, and work assignments.

Work Schedule & Travel

Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, with overtime and on-call duties including weekends. Travel within a 100-mile radius, with overnight and regional travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and remove coffee and beverage dispensing equipment in designated regions.
• Perform scheduled and emergency service activities, preventative maintenance, surveys, and installations.
• Participate in on-call service rotations, including after-hours and weekends.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and document all activities accurately.
• Plan, schedule, and execute equipment installations.
• Communicate promptly and clearly with customers and management.
• Follow service level agreements and prioritize tasks effectively.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting at $27.68/hour, up to $27.98/hour after six months. Benefits include paid time off, holidays, health insurance, 401(k), and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical and technical experience; foodservice, electrical, plumbing, HVAC experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., problem-solve, and travel as required.
