Job summary

CAT is seeking a Rental PM Field Tech I to perform high quality repair service on a wide range of rental equipment, ensuring timely, client‑focused support and maximum value for work performed. You will respond to customer needs in a positive, caring manner while making repair recommendations.

Responsibilities include completing assigned jobs within flat rate times, accessing work orders and required databases, removing/installing parts, testing assemblies, and submitting accurate service

Qualifications

• General knowledge of diesel or gas engines and mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform PM services across rental equipment in field or shop.
• Coordinate PM schedules with customers to meet needs.
• Clean driving record and CDL or ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Pass Work Steps assessment.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs and tasks within flat rate times.
• Provide repair recommendations and perform minor service repairs.
• Access required databases and complete job timely.
• Remove/install parts, disassemble/assemble components, test assemblies.
• Use basic hand tools, diagnostic software, cranes and rigging equipment.
• Provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to customers.
• Submit service reports and DOT logs.
