Calcasieu Parish Police Jury is seeking an Equipment Maintenance worker responsible for routine vehicle and equipment upkeep. Responsibilities include oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and maintaining logs of repairs and operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, some technical training in vehicle maintenance, and a valid driver's license. May involve preparing spray trucks and assisting with mosquito control operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent; some technical training in vehicle maintenance.
• Able to perform routine maintenance on vehicles/equipment and keep simple repair logs.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance such as changing oil, filters, lubricants, and fluid checks.
• Operate hand, power, and shop tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain logs and simple reports on maintenance activities and vehicle conditions.
• Prepare spray trucks for nighttime spraying, including calibrations when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned or similar in nature.
