Western Express, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Inspector to support our maintenance and inspection process across our yard network.

You will identify DOT compliance issues, tire concerns, and maintenance needs as units arrive, using available tools and training to report findings to the Shop or service providers. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Windows, and related software.
• No relocation assistance is available for this position.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Minimum of one year of consistent employment history or schooling.
• Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and work underneath equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Identify DOT compliance issues, company requirements, and necessary repairs as directed.
• Accurately document and enter detailed information into computer systems and communicate findings to the Shop or service provider as needed.
• Follow the company’s tire inspection program for each unit and identify tire-related maintenance needs.
• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and practices to protect yourself and our drivers.
• Address equipment-related issues promptly while providing exceptional service to drivers and customers.
• Maintain a professional, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
