Job summary

Office of State Human Resources, Temporary Solutions division, is seeking an Environmental Technician I (S) to support well testing and sampling across the state of North Carolina. This temporary role involves field sampling and coordinating with a two-person team, with opportunities to gain valuable environmental testing experience.

The position is based in Iredell County and pays an hourly rate of $18.00, with potential for exposure to HDHP health coverage for eligible temporary staff.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in environmental sciences or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in well testing across residences in NC.
• Conduct and document field sampling trips and deliver samples to the laboratory.
• Work as part of a two-person team on PFAS and Non-PFAS sampling projects.
• Gain hands-on experience in environmental testing and field operations.
