Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Environmental Technician to support field operations across hazardous waste, stormwater, SPCC, and wastewater programs in Texas. This role helps the Environmental Engineer focus on permits and technical content while you conduct inspections, sampling, and recordkeeping on site.

The position involves outdoor work on the production floor, data entry in field systems, and coordination with area owners to close findings. Strong documentation and safety mindset required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in environmental operations, hazardous waste, stormwater, or similar setting.
• HAZWOPER, DOT, and RCRA training certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Work outdoors/on production floor; climb, lift, inspect tanks, yards, drains, accumulation areas.
• Proficiency with Outlook/Word; comfortable with EHS software (MyEHS).

Responsibilities

• Execute field tasks, inspections, sampling, and recordkeeping for Environmental Engineer support.
• Collect, package, label, and stage hazardous/universal waste; manage manifests.
• Support stormwater inspections, BMP checks, and field documentation.
• Assist with SPCC, wastewater sampling, and air/PBR field activities.
• Provide emergency spill support and on-call coverage.
