Job summary

Davey Resource Group, Inc. seeks an Environmental Scientist/Restoration Specialist to lead field projects and mentor teammates across a range of restoration tasks, from invasive species control to habitat restoration.

The role is predominantly outdoors, with exposure to weather and rugged terrain. Ideal candidates bring a degree in biology/ecology, a MN pesticide license, S130/S190, and 3–5 years in ecological restoration.

Qualifications

• Minnesota pesticide license required.
• Prescribed burn experience and S130/S190 certification.
• Identify invasive species across habitats.
• Training with chain saw, brush saw, 4x4 ATV/UTV, tractor, and skid steer.
• A degree in biology, botany, ecology, conservation, environmental science, or related field.
• Three to five years of ecological restoration experience.
• Driver's license and clean driving record are required.
• Ability and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Work with the project manager to understand client needs and develop solutions.
• Inspect habitats to assess condition, health and functionality per client specs.
• Identify local species and recognize diseases and pests.
• Train and mentor teammates on field work.
