Job summary

The Davey Resource Group, a Davey Company, seeks an experienced Environmental Scientist/ Restoration Specialist to support natural resources and restoration projects in South St. Paul, MN.

This on-site role involves outdoor field work across habitats, training crews, and coordinating with clients to deliver effective solutions. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in ecological restoration, a relevant degree, and licenses for pesticide application, with willingness to travel and operate heavy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, botany, ecology, conservation, environmental science, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in ecological restoration, minimum 2 years of leadership experience.
• Possession of Minnesota Dept. of Agriculture Certified Pesticide Applicators License is required.
• Prescribed burn experience and S130/S190 certification.
• Ability to travel and read construction plans/specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train team members on field work.
• Work with project manager to meet client specifications.
• Inspect habitats and assess health and functionality.
• Identify local species and risks; communicate with clients professionally.
