Job summary

Danos, LLC in Carlsbad, NM seeks an Environmental Regulatory Technician to support compliance across oil and gas operations, performing inspections, maintaining records, and collecting field data.

You will work with Operations, HSE, and Environmental teams to identify risks, assist with regulatory reporting, and support LDAR and spill response activities while staying current with EPA/OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Environmental Science or related field preferred.
• 2+ years environmental compliance experience, preferably in oil & gas.
• Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, TCEQ, NMED, BLM or other agencies.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine environmental inspections of production sites, compressor stations, tank batteries, and other field facilities.
• Monitor compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and company policies.
• Assist with air, water, waste, and spill prevention compliance programs.
• Collect environmental samples, field measurements, and operational data as required.
• Maintain accurate environmental records, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Assist with preparation and submission of environmental reports to regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate waste management activities, including proper storage, labeling, transportation, and disposal.
• Participate in spill response activities, investigations, and corrective action tracking.
