ATLAS is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Special Inspection team in a hands-on field role that supports construction projects across the Atlanta metro area. Training is available for the right person, and your work will help teams gather reliable field data through soil testing, erosion control inspections, and concrete sampling.

This entry-level position offers opportunities to work outdoors on active projects, learn field testing techniques, and earn professional certifications

Qualifications

• Must have construction exposure or interest in field testing and inspection work.
• Strong English communication, organization, and dependable work ethic.
• Able to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering/construction plans.
• Comfortable working outdoors, lifting 40–50 lbs, and working around active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform or learn soil testing at jobsites.
• Perform or learn erosion control inspections in the field.
• Perform or learn field concrete sampling at active construction sites.
• Read maps, follow directions, and interpret plans to complete work accurately.
• Work safely outdoors in varying weather and around construction activity.
• Travel between Atlanta metro area jobsites and operate a company vehicle within guidelines.
