Actalent is seeking an on-site Contract Technician in Russell Springs, KY to engineer, commission and test new equipment for clients. You will work hands-on with electro‑mechanical systems, interpreting CAD drawings and blueprints to ensure safe, compliant and efficient installations.

Job Description

This role focuses on engineering, commissioning, and testing new equipment for clients, ensuring that all systems operate safely, efficiently, and according to design specifications. The position combines hands‑on electro‑mechanical work with the ability to interpret technical documentation and apply machine design knowledge to real‑world installations.

Responsibilities

• Commission and test new equipment for clients to verify proper operation, safety, and performance against specifications.
• Perform detailed troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, and electro‑mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Interpret and work from CAD drawings, schematics, and blueprints to install, configure, and adjust equipment accurately.
• Support the engineering process by applying machine design knowledge to optimize equipment setup and performance.
• Document test results, findings, and corrective actions to ensure clear communication and traceability.
• Collaborate with internal teams and client representatives to ensure successful equipment start‑up and handover.
• Conduct functional checks and calibration of components to ensure reliability and compliance with design requirements.

Work Environment

You will regularly use CAD drawings, schematics, and blueprints to guide installation and testing activities. Work may take place in client facilities, workshops, or industrial settings where attention to safety, proper use of tools, and adherence to technical standards are essential.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
