Qualifications

  • Bachelor or higher in an engineering discipline.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in applicable regions.
  • Typically 12 years in a multi-disciplinary environment with 3 years leading design teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering systems, design tools and materials.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, codes and design criteria.
  • Strong planning, coordination and organizational skills.
  • Experience with project planning, controls and interdependencies.
  • Knowledge of 3D model/drawing production and document control.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Understanding of procurement, contracting and commissioning methodologies.
  • Leadership, coaching and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate budget and interface with procurement, safety, and commissioning.

  • Ensure engineering quality and proper storage of calculations.
  • Lead quality audits, change management, and governance reviews.
  • Contribute to value improvement and continuous learning for scope.

Engineering Manager

Reports To: Project Manager

Summary: The Engineering Manager is responsible for all engineering and design activities on the engagement and assists the Project Manager. The Engineering Manager is primarily responsible for scope definition, engineering planning and sequencing, engineering resource planning, technical leadership, engineering quality, safety in design, ensuring deliverables in accordance with engineering processes, engineering design tools, and delivery of technical deliverables to achieve project objectives within timeframe and budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engagement planning, setup, and execution including defining scope, roles, deliverables, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Establish WBS, mobilization, onboarding of engineering resources, and baseline engineering schedule.
  • Coordinate engineering budget, input into monthly reports, and work with procurement, construction, environmental, safety, and commissioning personnel.
  • Communicate baseline information to regional engineering leads, discipline leads, and team, and ensure design criteria, standards, and client requirements are met.
  • Oversee engineering administrative functions, directing area engineers, discipline engineers, project engineer, layout & BIM coordinators, and other engaged groups.
  • Ensure engineering quality, safety, and engineering calculations are properly stored and verified.
  • Coordinate quality audit verifications, lead change management, promote governance, and conduct engineering reviews and gate reviews.
  • Contribute to value improvement practices and progressive learnings for engineering scope.
Qualifications and Experience
  • BSc/BEng degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer with the governing authority in applicable regions.
  • Typically 12 years’ experience in a multi‑disciplinary environment and 3 years of managing design engineering teams.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of engineering systems, design applications, materials, and current technologies.
  • General knowledge of industry, regulatory standards, codes, and design criteria.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and organization skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project planning, controls, and multidiscipline interdependencies.
  • Knowledge of 3D model/drawing production, document control methodologies, EWM, progress assessment, and engineering control strategies.
  • Ability to adapt to constant change and high‑pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of procurement, contracting, construction, and commissioning methodologies.
  • Leadership, motivation, coaching, and problem‑solving abilities.
