Job summary

Kiewit is offering a hands-on internship in construction management. This Full Time Temporary role provides a base pay of $20.00/hr to $25.00/hr.

The position involves learning and performing tasks in mechanical, electrical, and heavy industrial systems, with travel/relocation required as business needs dictate. Candidates pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in CM or related engineering fields must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or related degree.
• Legal authorization to work without requiring sponsorship to begin or continue employment.
• Ability to read and understand project owner specifications and engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log and Primavera P6 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical, and heavy industrial systems.
• Support administrative and construction activities; review proposals/specifications, perform material takeoffs, prepare cost estimates, and attend pre-bid meetings.
• Learn to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors.
• Prepare work plans, ensure quality control, track costs and materials, schedule equipment, and assist with safety programs.
