Job summary

Kiewit’s Central District internship offers hands-on experience in construction management across field operations. You’ll contribute to planning, scheduling, cost control, and procurement while learning the core functions of a heavy civil project team.

We seek a motivated student pursuing civil engineering or construction management, able to travel and commit to a May–August schedule. This is a full-time temporary internship with travel and site work across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Able to travel or relocate as needed during the internship.
• Available to work full-time during the summer May–August.
• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering or construction management.
• Willing to work across varied sites and environments with safety in mind.

Responsibilities

• Field engineering, operations planning, scheduling, and cost tracking support.
• Assist with material procurement, quantity tracking, and contract administration.
• Help maintain project records, progress updates, and documentation.
• Support risk assessment, problem solving, and vendor coordination.
