Advanced Infrastructure Design in central New Jersey is seeking a Field Engineering Assistant to support geophysical utility locating and subsurface assessment. The role combines fieldwork with office tasks, preparing sketches, spreadsheets, and reports under the supervision of a senior engineer.

Candidates should have an Associate degree in engineering or geotechnical fields; proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D; strong communication and organization; ability to lift 50 lb; and willingness to

Qualifications

• Associate degrees in engineering, geotechnical or physics fields.
• Proficiency of AutoCAD and basic knowledge of Civil 3D.
• Proficiency in computer and MS Office
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Able to carry 50 Ib of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Geophysical/electronic location and designation of subsurface utilities using surface geophysical equipment.
• Prepare sketches, spreadsheets, and written reports; present findings on CAD maps/plans.
• Assist in proposal and invoice preparation; interpret field data with geophysical software.
• Work mostly under supervision of a senior engineer; possible day/night shifts and some weekends.
