Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. is seeking Field Engineers for the Texas Division in the San Antonio/New Braunfels area. This full-time role supports general contracting work across water and wastewater projects with responsibilities spanning scheduling, procurement, and on-site coordination.

Required are a construction management or related degree and strong communication. Candidates with prior field experience and proficiency in MS Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Construction Management or related field required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior construction field experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• Effective communication skills both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• General Contract and Subcontract administration
• Construction scheduling
• Procurement and expediting of material and equipment
• Mechanical, electrical and piping systems coordination
• Project cost review, reporting, updating, and accounting
• Review of subcontractor applications for payment
• Participation in project meetings
• Supervision/coordination of subcontractors field installations
• Review/negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractors and prepare change proposals for self-performed work
• Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with owners, vendors, subcontractors.
• Any and all other duties assigned.
