Job summary

Amentum is seeking a field engineer in Alaska to perform a range of fundamental engineering tasks related to installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems. A Top-Secret clearance is required, with US citizenship for clearance eligibility.

The role involves planning projects from start to finish, communicating with management and officials, and assisting in technical presentations and reports. Location near Fairbanks and related travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5+ years of technical/professional experience in the specialty field.
• Professional knowledge of engineering concepts and related fields.
• Practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to complex engineering procedures.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret US Government Clearance.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet requirements for assigned vehicles.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.

• Performs a variety of fundamental field engineering tasks under supervision.
• Plans and carries out engineering steps and resolves technical problems by standard practices.
• Supports projects with limited scope or parts of more complex projects.
