Structural Engineering Field Technician
Tyndall Engineering & Design is seeking a Structural Engineering Field Technician to join
our Charleston team.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of
residential construction who enjoys working in the field, solving problems, and producing
accurate documentation.
The Field Technician will perform site observations, document existing conditions, take accurate field measurements and photographs, prepare clear field reports, and collaborate with engineers and other team members to support structural evaluations, repairs, and design solutions.
A strong candidate will demonstrate technical curiosity, observational ability, accuracy,
reliability, organization, and excellent communication skills. The ability to notice conditions
others may miss—and clearly communicate those findings—is particularly important.
