Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Field Engineer to lead the deployment and replacement of civil air traffic radar systems across the United States. You will define system architectures, coordinate complex integrations, and support field teams to ensure successful delivery at multiple sites.

Responsibilities include designing interfaces, preparing ICD/TP documents, and driving technical reviews while ensuring compliance with standards. Travel up to ~30% is required in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is preferred.
• Experience in radar, air traffic surveillance, or aerospace defense fields.
• Strong experience defining system architectures for complex deployments.
• Proven ability to document interfaces and system tests (ICD/TP).
• Willingness to travel up to ~30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition of system architecture for large radar deployments.
• Analyze requirements and translate into actionable specifications.
• Design and document interfaces ensuring seamless integration of components.
• Prepare ICD and System Test Plans with Product teams.
• Coordinate technical reviews and ensure quality and safety standards.
• Oversee delivery, installation, integration, and commissioning at multiple sites.
• Collaborate with System Engineering and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide field support and resolve technical issues in the field.
