Job summary

Hoar Construction is seeking a Field Engineer to support project delivery and administration, coordinating with Project Managers and Superintendents. The role involves planning, day-to-day project support, and up to 25% travel to sites.

Responsibilities include document control, RFI and submittal management, meeting organization, and maintaining logs and manuals. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 0–2 years of construction experience and Procore knowledge beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of construction experience or a construction graduate.
  • Basic knowledge of MEP systems and Procore software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with compilation of project close-out/operation and maintenance manuals for delivery to owner.
  • Assist Project Managers with coordinating document control and updating Procore.
  • Assist with process improvement by sharing best practices and training staff.
  • Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks for potential sales opportunities.
  • Create and maintain the Contract Document Log with current information.
  • Organize and attend project meetings and distribute agendas and minutes.
  • Ensure bid documents are sent to bidders and manage bidders list.
  • Maintain current construction documents and logs (RFI, submittals).
  • Support day-to-day project management: pay requests, change orders, RFI, submittals, contracts, PO’s.
