Job summary

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is seeking a Field Engineer for project work in Louisville, KY. You will assist the Project Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks related to project management and estimating to ensure accuracy, on-time delivery, and budget adherence.

The role requires a civil engineering or construction management background, 1–2 years in construction, and familiarity with tools like Procore or Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 1 to 2 years experience in the Construction industry, preferably with road & highway projects

Responsibilities

• Attend the project turnover meeting (estimating to operations)
• Assist in generating/maintaining project schedules, both cash flow and work load
• Attend job meetings
• Assist in setting up/managing submittals, purchase orders, change orders, and subcontractor agreements
• Ensure the work, including the work of the subcontractors, is being done in compliance with OSHA standards and company policies
• Enforce the company safety program
• Assist in completing all project plans.
• Assist in maintaining all project related reports
• Assist in preparing project closing documents
• Review construction documents and complete take offs and assist in obtaining pricing for materials and subcontractors, including DBE subcontractors
• Assist in preparing CPM schedules using estimated productions
• Attend pre-bid meetings
• Assist in preparing QA/QC plans
