Job summary

TMEIC Corporation in Houston, TX seeks a Technical Advisory Services Engineer to coordinate installation and commissioning activities for assigned projects, ensuring schedules and performance criteria are met.

The role includes commissioning AC/DC drive systems, tuning regulators, troubleshooting complex control systems, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to improve performance and safety. Willingness to travel and engage with international field teams is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or related field or equivalent via education and/or work experience.
2 years' experience commissioning power distribution, power electronics, and rotating machine products.
Availability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 75%, with short notice at times.

Responsibilities

Commission AC and DC drive systems and/or control software to meet design performance criteria.
Tune up closed loop regulators for optimal equipment performance and design parameters.
Troubleshoot and correct process control problems in complex systems.
Design, configure, and test system software and hardware to meet contractual requirements.
Coordinate information gathering to assess project requirements related to assigned scope of work.
Provide regular commissioning status reports to stakeholders.
Lead process component of client witness system acceptance tests when assigned.
Suggest improvements to commissioning procedures to enhance system performance.
Recommend software or hardware improvements to the engineering department.
Maintain safety qualifications and adhere to safety requirements.
Ensure proper safety equipment is available and in good working condition.
