Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with control automation coursework or equivalent.
• 2 years' experience with process and automation controls.
• 2 years' field engineering experience or 2 years' experience in metals, port solutions, paper, or related industries.
• Ability to climb and work on cranes up to ~175 feet.
• Proven client relationships and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally >75%.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Commission AC and DC drive systems and/or control software to meet design performance criteria.
• Tune closed loop regulators for optimal equipment performance.
• Develop, verify and implement electro-mechanical operation algorithms for port crane systems.
• Troubleshoot and correct process control problems in complex systems.
• Design, configure, and test system software/hardware to meet contractual requirements.
• Lead client witness system acceptance tests when assigned.
• Provide regular commissioning status reports and update management as needed.
• Coach associates in technical areas and train client personnel on procedures.
