Make an Impact Where It Matters Most — In Healthcare.

Join a team that’s revolutionizing medical imaging! As a Field Service Engineer at Carestream, you'll be the face of our cutting-edge Digital X-Ray technology, ensuring the performance, reliability, and uptime of equipment used in hospitals and imaging centers. This is more than just a technical role — it's a chance to truly make a difference in patient care while working with some of the most advanced systems in the field.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the trusted technical expert for our digital X-ray solutions — installing, maintaining, and servicing systems at customer sites.
  • Work directly with hospital staff, imaging centers, and healthcare professionals to ensure equipment is running optimally and reliably.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex issues involving CR/DR X-ray systems, laser imagers, CT scanners, radio fluoroscopy equipment, and networked medical devices.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Carestream and the customer — combining technical knowledge with outstanding relationship-building skills.
  • Analyze system trends, document service activity, and contribute to continuous product and service improvements.
  • Enjoy a high degree of autonomy — work independently from a home office, with support from a regional team of skilled engineers.
  • Travel within your assigned territory with occasional overnight stays.

Why This Role Is Great

  • You’ll Never Be Bored: Work on a variety of high-tech systems in real-world healthcare environments — no two days are the same.
  • Tools of the Trade Provided: Company vehicle, laptop, and phone — all provided so you’re ready to hit the ground running.
  • Competitive Pay + Benefits: Annual incentive plan, full benefits package, and the chance to grow within a global leader in medical imaging.
  • Make a Difference: Your expertise directly impacts patient diagnosis and treatment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate degree in Electronics or a related field required; Bachelor’s in Engineering (EE, EET, ME, MET) is a strong plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in medical imaging, field service, or a related technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and computer networking — and how to apply it in a real-world setting.
  • Confident using test equipment, reading schematics, and problem-solving under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills — you enjoy helping people and solving problems.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your own schedule.
  • Must live within the assigned service area and hold a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Carestream equipment is a plus.
  • Hands-on knowledge of digital X-ray and complex imaging devices.
  • Familiarity with PACS systems and hospital IT infrastructure.

Be Part of Something Bigger

At Carestream, we're not just maintaining equipment — we're supporting healthcare heroes. If you're passionate about engineering, thrive in a dynamic environment, and want a role where your skills truly matter, we’d love to hear from you.
