Job summary

Power Design is seeking a graduating or experienced Field Engineer to support our electrical construction projects across the region. Work under supervision of a Superintendent and project team, gaining exposure to installation scopes, schedules, safety, and startup activities.

You will collaborate with senior team members, suppliers, and customers onsite, coordinating labor, materials, and project communications while progressing toward startup, AHJ inspection, and owner acceptance.

Qualifications

• College graduate with a construction-related degree, or 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Detail-oriented professional with the ability to quickly solve problems, who loves new challenges and is seeking a defined career path.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Gain firsthand experience of the electrical installation scopes of work including decks, rough, trim, and distribution.
• Provide support with project deliverables throughout all phases of construction, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Promote safety on site by recognizing hazards and ensuring corrections.
• Coordinate schedules, manage labor forecast, inventory, materials, and project correspondence.
• Interact with customers and other trades representing the organization in the field.
• Utilize state-of-the-art facility training and cutting-edge technology on assigned projects.
• Serve as lead between Systems PMs and Operations, supporting startup/commissioning and owner acceptance.
• Schedule low voltage startup and coordinate technician and commissioning labor.
