Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) seeks a Civil Engineer with 5+ years of construction industry experience to lead Tensar Solutions promotion and sales coordination. You will review constructability, develop value engineering opportunities, and execute business plans aligned with government, geotechnical, and national accounts.

Travel regionally 25–50% is expected; team collaboration and client communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' work experience as a Civil Engineer in the construction industry.
• Ability to travel regionally between 25% - 50% of the time
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
• Highly self-motivated and a team player
• Strong scheduling, planning, organizing, problem solving, time management, and prioritizing work

Responsibilities

• Lead the promotion and acceptance of TIC proprietary systems
• Review constructability constraints and identify value engineering opportunities
• Develop and execute an annual business plan for the promotion and sale of Tensar Solutions
• Train, educate and provide technical support internally
• Work with Technology and Product Marketing to facilitate field testing and validation and communicate new information up and down the organization
• Develop and execute a business development plan focused on Government agencies, Geotechnical Engineers and Key National accounts
• Provide project site assessment and assistance as required
• Communicate local competitive specification activities to the Area Sales Director
• Populate project pipeline database with new specified projects in coordination with the Business Development team
• Review project pipeline database and coordinate efforts with Regional Sales Managers to close key project opportunities
• Coordinate interaction between our engineering department and the client to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of Tensar engineering services and systems
• Active participation in relevant industry associations, boards, committees, etc.

Education

Bachelor's in Civil Engineering

Professional Licensure (P.E.)
