Based in the Houston area, interns gain exposure to mechanical, electrical, and heavy industrial systems while supporting planning, estimating and coordination activities on active projects. Relocation and travel are common for diverse project experiences.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or related degree.
• Broad knowledge of project scheduling and cost control; able to read owner specifications and drawings.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, ProLog and Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Strong organizational, time management and communication skills; detail-oriented and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical and heavy industrial systems.
• Support administrative and construction activities; review proposals, drawings, and specifications; perform material takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Learn how to supervise subcontractors and coordinate with vendors.
• Prepare work plans, ensure quality control, track costs and materials; manage equipment schedules and safety programs.
• Assist in maintaining owner relations and demonstrate leadership potential in a fast-paced environment.
• Relocation may be required as project assignments change.
