Job summary

OHLA USA is seeking a Field Engineer Intern to support Project Managers and Superintendents across various Los Angeles and Orange County project sites. The role involves project coordination, cost tracking, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and field inspections, with a focus on interpreting drawings and maintaining documentation.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a 4-year program in civil engineering or construction management, with prior heavy civil internship experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at an accredited 4-year institution pursuing a degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with project coordination, cost tracking, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and subcontractor coordination.
• Coordinate between subcontractors and trades and manage specific subcontractors as a main contact.
• Produce or supervise shop drawings and support field inspections.
• Track submittals and RFIs, redline drawings for as-builts, and support drawings/ explanations as required.
• Order long lead and specialty materials and monitor availability.
