Job summary

Nox Group in Phoenix, AZ, invites Field Engineer Interns to join a 12-week Internship Program. Interns will support field operations on ongoing construction projects, rotating through Preconstruction/Estimating, Industrial, and Manufacturing tracks.

You will work alongside tenured Project Managers or Project Engineers throughout the life cycle of current projects. You will gain hands-on experience, learn safety and quality procedures, and develop practical skills in surveying, document

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
• Ability to interface and communicate effectively with others.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Positive and teachable attitude.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Engineers and Field Superintendents to support field operations and safety.
• Assist with survey and layout work to guide installations and generate lift drawings.
• Participate in quality control programs through inspections and corrective actions.
• Attend daily and weekly project meetings to track progress and coordinate activities.
• Support document management: drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings.
• Report field issues promptly to keep projects on schedule.
• Track quantities of installed materials and equipment weekly for cost control.
• Assist in equipment and material management on-site.
• Maintain record drawings and as-builts per contract requirements.
• Assist with permit documents related to dust control and SWPPP.
• Contribute to project progress photos and regular documentation.
• Help mentor and share knowledge with junior team members.
• Build rapport with owners, clients, engineers, and trade partners while ensuring contractual compliance.
