Job summary

Workover Solutions is seeking a Field Engineering Intern to support field operations for oil and gas wells. The role involves a standard M-F, 8am-5pm office schedule with occasional evenings or weekends, and potential involvement in hands-on shop, machine shop, and field activities to gain experience.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a Bachelor's in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent, with strong learning ability, attention to detail, and comfort working independently in a team environment.

• Current enrollment in engineering program pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to learn new skills and execute with high attention to detail.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Regular office work schedule with flexible hours and potential for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Learn computer-based tasks supporting WOS field operations, including pre-well modeling and post-job analysis.
• Maintain a regular office schedule with potential evenings/weekends.
• Promote superior service quality to support customer needs.
• Contribute to a team consisting of office, shop, field, and research personnel.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and propose solutions.

Field Engineering Intern responsibilities primarily include office work to support WOS Field Operations with various clients’ oil and gas wells. The candidate will work a regular office works schedule during core business hours (M-F, 8am-5pm) with occasional assistance required during evenings and weekends. to shadow experienced WOS specialists to gain hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and safe practices. At the discretion of both the candidate and WOS, the candidate can also assist with hands-on shop operations, machine shop operations, and in-person field operations to gain experience. To be successful in this role, the candidate should be comfortable with learning new tasks and working independently with high attention to detail.

• Mechanical aptitude is highly preferred
• Regular office work schedule with flexible hours and opportunity for remote work

• Contribute to a multifaceted team of office, shop, field, and research personnel to deliver superior service quality to customers
