Job summary

CECO Environmental Corporation is seeking a Field Engineer to plan, execute, and interpret complex field testing at gas processing plants, refineries, and other industrial facilities. You will apply advanced thermodynamics and fluid mechanics to diagnose issues, develop solutions, and deliver technical recommendations to customers and internal teams.

The role requires autonomy, strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel up to 80% to support projects globally while ensuring data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related hard science.
• 3+ years of experience in technical field service, laboratory analysis, or systems troubleshooting.
• 2+ years of direct experience in gas processing plants, midstream facilities, or oil refineries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute complex field testing projects at customer facilities with minimal supervision.
• Evaluate process conditions and determine testing methodologies based on engineering principles and objectives.
• Analyze hydrocarbon systems and validate test accuracy using advanced thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• Lead technical discussions and provide engineering conclusions and recommendations to customers.
• Ensure data integrity and prepare professional engineering recommendations influencing operations.
