Job summary

Weitz is seeking a Field Engineer for our Industrial team, with initial assignment in Council Hill, OK. This role supports field supervision and coordination with Weitz and subcontractors, with travel as project needs require. A career path toward supervision is anticipated.

The position emphasizes planning, scheduling, cost reporting, and collaboration with owners and architects to maintain project quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a project/field engineer role or related internship.
• Industry related degree or coursework is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of the project plan and ensure proper execution.
• Make recommendations to the supervisor for design or other changes to improve quality, reduce costs, or speed up completion.
• Assist Superintendent with equipment review and planning.
• Assist Superintendent with pre-construction meetings with subcontractors.
• Maintain and protect all tools, equipment, and materials on the jobsite.
• Assist with site logistics and cleanup to present a professional image.
