Job summary

Skanska USA is hiring a Field Engineer II (Heavy Civil Construction) to support complex infrastructure projects in the U.S. You will oversee field activities, coordinate with safety, estimating, PM and operations, and lead crews where applicable.

The role emphasizes leadership without performing manual labor and requires strong problem solving on-site. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Construction or Engineering with at least two years of relevant experience.

The Field Engineer II (Heavy Civil Construction) has completed at least one year working in the construction industry. He/she will be familiar with a variety of construction disciplines such as Safety, Estimating, Project Management and Operations. The Field Engineer will be given responsibilities and decision-making authority. He/she will not be required to perform manual labor in this position but will actively and independently manage those who do.

Field Engineer II Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree – Construction or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years prior relevant experience.
• Requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
