Job summary

Kiewit Northwest District in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Field Engineer to join a team responsible for field engineering, surveying, and project coordination. You will interpret drawings and specs for field crews, assist in work planning, and support cost data collection across major heavy civil projects.

The role requires flexibility to travel and relocate as project demands dictate, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and coordinating with site teams for timely delivery of work packages.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a construction-related field (civil, mechanical, CM, mining, geotechnical).
• Minimum overall GPA of 2.5.
• Willingness to travel and relocate nationwide.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Strong work ethic, ethics and safety focus.
• Ability to access construction sites in varied climates.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specs for field crews.
• Prepare work plans and packages; assist in field surveying.
• Assist in daily labor timesheets and JHA preparation.
• Support earthmoving, transportation, and utilities operations.
• Coordinate material deliveries and supervise field operations.
• Provide data for job costs and change orders.
