Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking entry-level Field Engineer I participants for a nationwide program, with start in 2027. Roles are full-time and in-person at multiple Gilbane offices across the United States.

You will gain hands-on experience across project engineer and superintendent responsibilities, benefiting from formal training, coaching, and on-the-job learning to build cross-functional competence early in your career.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 0-1 years of experience or internships in construction.
• Equivalent education/experience acceptable.
• Knowledge of commercial/institutional construction projects.
• Knowledge of Procore.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• OSHA 30 hour certification required.
• First Aid, CPR trained.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain contract documents, including document logs.
• Review, process and distribute accurate submittals and RFIs.
• Participate in meetings and communicate decisions and actions.
• Assist in coordination of trade contractors to meet schedule.
• Support safety efforts in the field and document safety inspections.
• Track work in place and productivity.
• Contribute to daily reports and project documentation.
