Job summary

Gilbane Building Company is seeking entry-level Field Engineer I candidates for nationwide, in-person positions starting in 2027. You will join the Building Dynamic Builders program, gaining hands-on experience across project engineer and superintendent tasks through formal training and coaching.

The program emphasizes cross-functional learning, safety leadership, and rapid skill development in construction processes. This is an in-person, full-time opportunity across multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 0-1 years of experience or internships in construction.
• Knowledge of commercial/institutional construction projects.
• OSHA 30 hour certification required.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain contract documents, including document logs.
• Review, process and distribute accurate submittals and RFIs.
• Participate in meetings and document discussion decisions and actions.
• Assist in coordination of trade contractors to meet project schedule.
• Support field safety efforts, including safety orientations and inspections.
• Track work in place and productivity.
• Contribute to daily reports and documentation.
• Participate in quality control activities and ensure trades adhere to quality practices.
