Job summary

Rising Edge Group in the United States is seeking a Field Engineer to oversee electrical construction projects from the ground up. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Quality Officers, Safety, Fleet, subcontractors, and clients to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to project specifications.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field, or 4+ years in HV construction.
• 1–3 years of experience in field engineering or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and comfortable handling large data sets.
• Experience with project management software such as Aconex is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Willingness to travel to multiple job sites and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects from ground up, reporting to the Construction Manager.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Quality Officers, Safety, Fleet, subcontractors, and clients to ensure safe, on-schedule work.
• Review drawings and specifications, providing feedback as needed.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure proper task execution.
• Maintain project documentation, progress updates, and challenges.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and safety.
• Prepare reports detailing status, metrics, and outcomes.
• Draft RFIs and liaise with clients for clarifications.
• Attend daily meetings with clients and contractors, communicating updates.
• Develop work packages and determine required materials and resources based on design specs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Complete inspection sheets and safety documents; file in QC systems.
• Maintain QC forms, photos, and coordinates per ITP.
