Job summary

Lane Construction is seeking a Field Engineer for Central Florida as part of the two-year Field Engineer Development Program (FEDP). You will support critical highway construction operations in both field and office environments, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship from seasoned professionals.

Responsibilities include coordinating scheduling, cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and ensuring safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work in field and office.
Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Managing both office and field responsibilities to support project requirements, including implementation of scheduled work and tracking project data.
Assisting with project scheduling and planning activities.
Preparing cost and time estimates to help meet project budgets and deadlines.
Performing quantity take-offs.
Preparing and managing submittals.
Assisting with surveying and layout activities.
Tracking job quantities, production rates, and project costs.
Identifying discrepancies between design plans and field conditions and communicating solutions.
Coordinating with third-party utility providers to ensure utilities are properly identified and located before construction activities begin.
