Job summary

McNally Tunneling Corporation, a Weeks Marine subsidiary, seeks an entry-level Field Engineer to support project engineering staff on a tunnel project site in Cleveland, Ohio. Responsibilities include assisting with temporary works, AutoCAD drafting, surveying coordination, daily/weekly reporting, subcontractor management, scheduling, submittals, and materials procurement.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and can read contract drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required (civil, mechanical, electrical or construction management disciplines considered).
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD and Primavera P6 scheduling program a plus.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Ability to accurately read contract drawings.
• Internship or construction experience a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze collected data to monitor production and modify as necessary to achieve maximum production.
• Plan and develop work plans for project related operations.
• Coordinate operational survey needs with survey department.
• Provide daily support and coordination with craft supervision.
• Coordinate the procurement of temporary or permanent materials as assigned by the Project Engineer.
• Coordinate and undertake planning and implementation of construction activities, as assigned by the Project Engineer or Superintendent(s).
• Assist with environmental monitoring as needed.
• Assist in the generation of daily reports and assembly and maintenance of proper job records.
• Ensures compliance of company policies.
